Parkour and Athletic Poses
[crossposted to the Second Lifers LJ group]

I'm working on something that requires a bunch of Parkour-type athletic poses - running, jumping, backflips, bounding up walls, holding onto railings, things like that.  Not animated stuff - I need static poses showing dynamic action.

I haven't had any luck, other than a "Parkour HUD" that doesn't even work :(

Anyone have any ideas?

Oh, you got ripped off by that Parkour HUD guy too? I thought I'd just been taken advantage of because I was new to your time.

Grr! Sorry, Mom!

No worries. I should have asked you first...

I should have asked you before I went out shopping. I should have known you'd be way ahead of me on this.

Take care of Soph while I'm away, and stay out of trouble :)

Greetings, Ms. Bury!

Jonny Dusk has some pretty great action/super-hero-type stuff. He sells them in AOs and as separate poses. I haven't been in a while, but I seem to recall some that could look pretty parkour-ish in the right context...

Truthseeker!

Thanks for coming by, and please call me Argent. ^_^

I was just there the other day, actually. I have his gun-action poses, which are awesome. They come in handy during the occasional attack by ghostly Japanese fighter planes.

I saw that he has comic action poses now too, but the display unit was busted and I couldn't see what I was buying. I do plan to drop by there again and buy some stuff if he gets the display fixed.

In the meantime I'm playing with Qavimator and finding that it's fairly easy to use. Making poses is not difficult, it's making ones that look realistic that will take some time. Still, not as much of a time-suck as I was expecting.

Thanks again for posting here. It's been great fun having you at the Book Club, and you are clearly a creative force to be reckoned with. Feel free to friend me later if you're so inclined.

Best,
Argent

I know this is an older post, but I'm just catching up with you. :) Do you still need these custom poses? I have a friend who could help!

Actually, I'm good...

I taught myself how to use Qavimator on a basic level, and made the poses myself. It was kind of fun ^_^

Thanks for the offer to help, though!
