| Bio: | My name is Argent Bury (rhymes with "fury", not "furry" or "berry"). I'm a Digital Person, living in the Independent Technocratic City-State of Extropia, in Second Life. "Digital Person" means I'm an avatar living in Second Life, and I don't plan on leaving, so don't bother with questions about my human. I'm not entirely convinced First Life is real anyway, and it sounds kinda boring. Before I immigrated to Second Life I was a military cyborg in the Lunar Combined Forces. After the War most of my implants were removed, along with a good chunk of my memories. All that is left now are my eyes, which I don't plan to give up for sentimental reasons. Now I find myself in this bizarre artificial world, trying to get by on my pension. I am in Second Life to have fun and be creative, sexy, silly, adventurous, and philosophical. These are all really fun things to do in Second Life, especially because there are other people around who want to do the same things, and the synergies this creates are amazing. If you have no idea what this "Second Life" thing is, go to www.secondlife.com and read the manual. Look me up if you survive the first few weeks. Right now I'm helping my friends and family build our new homes in Extropia, and going on expeditions into the untamed heart of SL, which I write about on this LJ. I'm also learning to build and script, which is a slow, painful, and rewarding process. Again, something I'll be writing about here. I'm in a complex and nuanced relationship with some other Digital People, and I'm not looking for more in that arena right now. My in-world time is pretty well spoken for, but I always have time for strangers who are smart, polite, non-creepy, and "get" SL.
